When you get on the beach make sure to stay near the cliff as the tide comes in as it can seriously hinder your progress and it doesn't slow the ducks one bit. To stop the ducks you need to knock them down in any way (smash through the as Bullet Bill or if you are invincible or super-sized, shoot them with shells ect.).

This is quite a hard course as the walls fall down if you bump into them. You can take a small shortcut if you have a mushroom by using it to speed over the gap near the beginning.
