Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit source]

Hello THE KING OF ALL GAMES! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. Please remember to sign your name on, and only on, talk pages by clicking or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- Procyon 13:10, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Don't capitalize[edit source]

Perhaps his royal highness would be so kind as to take a look around the rest of the site and realize that we don't SHOUT IN OUR GUIDES. Please learn to type properly and capitalize words only when necessary. Thank you. Procyon 13:10, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Preload buttons[edit source]

Here's what the buttons look like.

Hi, please use the preload buttons located above the edit text box when creating a new page. These buttons will insert the needed templates and formatting for you, which helps keep uniformity across the wiki. — najzereT 16:46, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Please read the guide[edit source]

Before we start making guide pages, we generally create the main page first, from which everything else flows. The next step is to create the Table of Contents with links to all the necessary pages in the guide. From there, you can use the red links in the ToC to start creating pages. Just remember to use the preload buttons (as outlined in the post above) when creating these new pages. Thanks, — najzereT 16:46, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

We have a problem[edit source]

Right now you're heading down a path towards being blocked from the site. The fact that every single one of your edits needs to be heavily cleaned up by someone else is simply unacceptable. Please read the guide and follow the instructions being left on your talk page. You need to ask questions, look around the site and learn how to use wiki markup. I hope you give some sort of response or show an improvement, because I'd prefer if you became a good contributor to the site. Good luck, — najzereT 20:13, 10 July 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

2 things to help[edit source]

Hey, I know making a new guide for any specific game is tough. Personally I think it is the hardest thing to do without messing something up. If there are any other game pages you want help making then go post a request on the StrategyWiki:Requested guides page. Myself and a few others keep an eye on that page and would love to help anybody that posts a request there.

When you post on a talk page you should sign what you said with ~~~~. By ending your post with the 4 tildes the site will instantly post your name and the date. This and the other things mentioned above this post make doing things on the wiki super easy.

If you ever need any help or clarifications then feel free to ask me on my talk page. :D --Zaiqukaj 14:43, 17 July 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Also don't triple post the same comment on users' talk pages. You're free to use your particular brand of punctuation and capitalization on talk pages, but just so you know, many people consider multiple exclamation points and all caps to be "yelling" and they're not as likely to take your posts seriously. — najzereT 15:19, 17 July 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Blocked[edit source]

You've been blocked for two hours. Please take this time to read through the Guide and learn how to properly start a new game guide. You have yet to make a single contribution that doesn't require another user to come in and clean up after you. Hopefully this is a wakeup call for you to realize that you must learn how to use this wiki, and that we are not a babysitter service for your every edit. Thanks, — najzereT 18:16, 17 July 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Reposting messages[edit source]

Instead of clicking the + on the top of a discussion, can you edit the page, scroll right down and add the comment at the bottom, that should help stop you reposting the same message several times.--Rocky (talk · contribs) 14:55, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Last warning[edit source]

You are on extremely thin ice around here. I seriously want to ban you permanently but I'm going to give you one last chance. Here's what you are going to do in order to remain a user in good standing around here:

  • Do not leave pointless messages on user's talk pages with links to youtube videos. If I find one of those on my talk page, consider yourself banned.
  • Read the site guide and learn how to use the site correctly. I'm not interested if you do or do not get the point of the templates; either use them correctly, or don't edit the site.
  • Look at other guides, especially the featured guide to learn what is considered an acceptable contribution to guide.

If you can't or won't follow all of these requests, then you are not welcome to edit here any longer. I hope that you listen this time. Procyon 15:18, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
